SOFTWARE SKILLS

 I'm Luiz Gustavo Santana, an Indie Game Designer.

 

 I have been working with Game Design for a long time, 6 years precisely; since I am only 18 years old, I spent one-third of my life just learning and designing my own professional and personal projects, all of them designed using cutting edge methods which I have learned during these years.

 

, such as Game Engines I spent most of my time studying and domaining different Cryengine and the Unreal Engine Series, especially Unreal Engine 4, in which I dedicated the last 2 years to master this amazing game design tool.


 Since I felt I had some solid knowledge to start making my own projects, I started the            Lonely World Conceptual Project, which was my first attempt to design a game; I used the assets provided by Crytek to design my own sandbox world based on Cryengine; also designed by Crytek; I spent 1 entire year designing this game, and that's when I learned almost everything I know about Art Direction and Graphics Engineering.

 

 In 2014 the Unreal Engine 4 platform was launched, an AAA Game Engine, and the most important, a Designer-Friendly tool, capable of designing an entire game just using                  Visual Scripting.

 

 Then I started my own professional indie project which was called Electroshift; I founded my own game studio and worked for 2 long years alongside 30 other international professionals to develop a masterpiece inspired by games such as the Bioshock Series and Dishonored.

 

 Right now, I am designing a new project named Hearts of Violet, a First and Third Person Hybrid game, inspired by adventure games as Tomb Raider and Uncharted; this project is the culmination of all my Game Design knowledge obtained during these 6 last years! 


 The development is at the very early stages, but you can check the Hearts of Violet page and appreciate some pre-alpha screenshots.

 

  I do also accept freelance contracts for Indie Game Studios and Game Design Companies and of course, I am totally available for mentoring and consultancy for any independent studio that could require any assistance!
